Logic Problem Answers

There are four bachelors who live in four different connecting towns (on a road running from west to east). Each of the four men has a different hair color, a different job, likes a different sport, and owns a different animal. From the clues below, can you find which bachelor is matched with each hair color, job, sport and animal; and can you determine in what order they live?

  1. The man with the fish lives in the first town to the west.
  2. The man with brown hair lives neither 3rd nor 4th from the west.
  3. The fireman lives in Kannertown.
  4. Kannertown is immediately to the west of Smithtown.
  5. Smithtown is neither 3rd or 4th from the west.
  6. The bear is owned by the red haired football fan.
  7. Mathtown is three towns to the east of Kannertown.
  8. The lion is the pet of the man who lives in Pentown.
  9. The blonde likes baseball.
  10. The man who does a hot job plays a cool sport.
  11. Ice hockey is not played by the shoemaker.
  12. The lion is owned by a golf fan.
  13. The veterinarian is not in the easternmost town.
  14. The shoemaker cannot see Kannertown from where he lives, so he lost his golf ball.
  15. The jockey likes baseball.
  16. The giraffe ate his neighbors black hair.
