Storage Shed

The sketch of a simple storage shed is shown below in quadrant I of a coordinate plane.  Use this drawing to answer the questions below.
Line segment AB represents the left side of the storage shed roof. What is the slope of this line segment?  Where does this line segment meet the y-axis?  If this line segment were extended in both directions, what would be the equation of this line?

Line segment BC represents the right side of the storage shed roof.  What is the slope of this line segment?  If this line segment were extended in both directions, where would it meet the y-axis?  What would be the equation of this line?

Using the equations for lines AB and BC, determine where each line crosses the x-axis.  (Hint: the point where a line crosses the x-axis has a y value of 0.  Plug 0 in for y, then solve for x.)
